I've been driving this car for a month and all the sudden hte idle lopes and the exhst will burn your eyes out I got a code 19 ( processor no power) but I don't know where to find this processor to diagnose the connection problem or what it is exactly. is the processor like the pcm on my chevy and how do I locate this device

 

Yes, processor(?) is the same as pcm but, start simple and check to make sure you didn't burn a fuse or fusible link first. Maybe even a fuse with a poor connection.

 

Start with any fuses.

There should be a power relay for the computer as well. Mine is next to the computer behind the passengers kick panel, not sure about an 89. The panel tho is held in with a plastic push pin and partially by the sill plate. Relay looks like a 1x2 inch black cube on mine, seperate from the computer. Sometimes you can hear it click when you turn the key.

Check the wiring up front on the starter solenoid on the fender (behind the battery) for anything loose or corroded as well.
