A procedure generally used in performance tests to improve the off-the-line acceleration of a car equipped with an automatic transmission. It is executed by firmly depressing the brake with the left foot, applying the throttle with the car in gear to increase engine rpm, then releasing the brakes.

Could be your rear diff LSD is wearing out. how many miles on the car? Rebuild with new clutch packs would take care of that.

Its also called foot braking. Torque braking too... Hes just mashing the brake and throttle to launch properly. If it was your clutch packs, I'm pretty sure it would do it when you burn out normally when you just punch it. Just take it to a transmission shop and have them check it. They will jack up the rear and listen to the rear end with it in gear. Most likely at some later date you will have bigger issues than just not being able to foot brake it.
