Tires slightly rubbing (295's) on my 92.

Tires slightly rubbing (295's) on my 92.
so i got a really good deal ($400)on some welds wheels and tires. skinnys up front and fat 295s out back. they slightly rub like i figured they would on the inside of the fenderweld toward the front of the car. can i just beat it with a hammer to make them stop rubbing or just get a smaller set. thanx
