Yea maybe if all else was equal then you might get an extra one or two horsepower. But if your current air filter is CLEAN it should work just as good.

It's more important how COOL the air is going into your engine. Fender mounted CAI's can help there

keep in mind, that your engine only demands a certain amount of air. if you install a cold air intake, it doesnt matter what size filter you have, so long as it allows enough air for the engine..which doesnt take much with a near stock engine...if you install a CAI with the filter that came with it..you could swap to a massive filter, and it likely make no more power.
