Smile Tuner For 2007 Shelby Gt

The Shelby Gt comes stock with an after market CAI made by Steeda. I have been told that this CAI is responsible for the 20 or so extra HP over the standard GT. This Steeda CAI can accomodate a Carbon Fiber Elbow that increases air flow. Problem; My Tuner (Predator) will not allow me to tune for different CAI's. Predator's logic is that, in their opinion, nobody would replace this after market unit? Of course, we all know that it is done in the persuit of more power. Predator claims that these CAI tunes are available only if you plug it into a standard Must GT! When plugged into a Shelby GT, that menu is hidden. This makes little or no sense whatsoever, and I am afraid it is just a ploy to prevent another download into my tuner. They claim they can "Make" me a tune for whatever CAI I choose. Has anyone else run into this problem? Predator states that there should be a tune for this 90MM CAI, by Ford Racing (Steeda). Any Predator owners know the real skinny? When I first got my tuner it had no tunes in it at all, and I was forced to buy their Interphase kit to download the tune files, and even then, no CAI options. For some reason the Predator comes with or without many options, there is no uniformity to them. It appears that Tech support will find a way to "Explain" the issue.
When I asked the specific question, "Would My Predator Show The CAI menu if I ?it into a standard GT, they refuse to answer? I am baffeled by this. Anyone with a similae experience?
thanks/ Bill

www.bamachips.com

Predator tunes are garbage...

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the tuner will see you're Shelby GT as a regular GT. Either way, give Bamachips a call and have him write you a custom Race tune. I guarantee it will be much better than any tune Steeda or FRPP can give you.
