Ive got an 02 GT with 3.73 gears it seams that It shifts alittle to early when its in drive, and then when it reaches 3rd gear its like it almost bogs down alittle bit. If i shift manual theres no prob. Any clues?

Its got 86000mi now, the gears were installed about 75000 and I think its done this since the gears were put in. I just bought the car from my brother-in-law he said its always done this. Im thinking the guy who installed them F*^$ up. And no the car hasn't been beat up too much!!

Give the tranny fluid a sniff.. does it smell burnt?

I can't think of why a gear swap would affect the tranny, especially relatively mild 3.73's
