Valentikne 1 is the only way to go. The most important thing though is to remember that nothing is 100%. A lot of people get a radar detector and then drive like they have no worries. A radar detector combined with some common sense really lowers your chances of a ticket.

Default V1

I would recommend a Valentine 1. I have had it for 3 years and not one ticket. Although I don't speed too often it has been worth it's weight in gold for catching radar/laser when it is there.

I was at the beach a few months ago and the police had a Laser gun checking for speeders. The posted speed was 15 MPH which is hard to do with any car let alone a Stang. The V1 picked it up when it was shooting another car a ways in front of me and it warned me before he hit me. Like the other member said the directional arrows are a great part of this detector. Once you see the arrows in action you will never buy a different detector.

Save your $$ and use gods given radar detectors.
Most people have two of them mounted on either
side of the face area. Also known as eyes.

You don't have to be going 100 mph to get a speeding ticket!

I've never been saved from a ticket when driving at high speed, only when just over the threshold of ten mph above.I've never got a ticket when driving really fast either, just lucky I quess.
No matter what kind of R/D you get you have to know how to use it AND when it can be trusted to warn you in time.Driving on a deserted road at 0300 will usually get an "instant on" hit.Driving on an interstate with other traffic will usually get a continuous signal from the radar car. This isn't carved in stone but as a rule of thumb it's pretty close.

or just fork out 300 and get that phaser 2(depending on which state your in) and if you do ever get a ticket then they pay for it. you would just have to pay for the lawyer to get the points off your record haha. but if u want a detector and not a scrambler the valentines the best one imo.

I would go with a Escort 8500 X50. Shouldnt be too hard to find one in that price range.
