It depends on the mileage, year, and trim. A v6 is going to be cheaper to own than a v8.

I'm going to move this b/c the new member forum is only for intros.

I would look at a 3.8, probably the only thing that you'll find for cheap. You may be able to find a 4.6 or 5.0 for cheap though.

Preferably, good performance...but I wanna feel like I did something..so I want it to be easy to modify also..incase I wanna add something.

I need a good fast mustang..cuz I can make money easily..many people would bet to beat me..but I wanna surprise the hell outta them.

Yes for the $$$ a 3.8 would be your best bet. Anything else like a GT or Cobra would probably be out of your
price range and cost of insurance, since your 16 it will be high.

if you want something easy to modify then get a 89-92 mustang 5.0 i pay $125 a month on insurance and you can get one in good condition for about $3000 to $4500. they are easy to work on too bc there isnt a lot of electronics to work with

Well expect to pay a nice amount for a 5.0 in decent condition. The value deffinatly rose since the 05's came out. My boyfriend has been offerend 10k and 12k for his 93 convertible with a 5.0. I would say at 16 your best bet not only so you don't get into trouble is to get a v6. They are cheaper, better on gas and look at it this way when your a little older you can either trade it in for a better one or just work on modding it now.
