with a turbo the sky is the limit well that's not so your wallet is but there a some very fast 2.3 out there I have seen more then one run 8s so it can be done but it wont be cheap and probably not a good street car. so I am up for the 351 also. And man that chick in the sig. of that guy up top there well I wont go there. LOL

i went carb, so i didn't really need a donor car. i used the stock 7.5 for about 3 months until i found a built 8.8. the numbers are based on that 1/4 time calculator. i figure i should have 300 at the flywheel, and with me in the car it shouldn't weight over 3000. heres the link for the calculator.. http://robrobinette.com/et.htm

I find it amusing people think they need a V8 to make power.

I know you don't need a V8 to make power, but in this case it would be better to go with the 351. If it were an SVO already turbo'd, then I would say slap on a bigger turbo and upgrade the fuel system.

Out of the 2, I'd do the 351W. I've had a turbo 4cyl Mustang and it was alot of fun. Just didn't like the lack of low end torque.

A basic 351 would probably be cheaper and easier to do too.

you dont have to go carb with a 351. If you want power than go with the 351W. If you want to be unique go with the turbo 4 banger... for some reason Ive always wanted a sick 2.3T

ExtrmZ.. no the 7.5 didn't fail completely. but it was making a clunk noise when i put it into gear. i had to swap it out, the right wheel peel was killing me! lol ... my opinion.. your pissing your money away if you invest into a 4 cyl. been their. it takes more money to hop up a 4 cyl to equal the amount of hp and torque youd get from a v8. granted their are people that do it. great. they have the wallet to put their 2.3T into the 9s. like i said My opinion. i just posted a link in the 4 na and turbo section about a 11 second 2.3t mustang... hes got my respect.
