Forced induction you genius. But the aerodynamics of the front end of the mustang doesn't allow much air to enter the scoop(if it were functional). Most of the airflow shoots up and over the scoop. Some will be caught by the scoop, however, and if you had an FI(or 'ram air') hood you might gain a couple.

Actually, I think the scoop is like the stock one and closed off. Besides, I wouldn't buy a hood for performance... what might you gain... 1 or 2 hp at the wheels... if you are that lucky.... I just love the look of it...
