ok so im kinda new here and iv only got a couple mods under my belt so far on my 05 gt. I recently got an SCT tuner and had some tunes pre-programmed on it and it said something like 4 tunes left after I used it, what does that mean? Can i only use it 4 times?

 

It probably has space on the tuner for 5 tunes and since you have one on it, there is space for 4 others. That is my take on it, but I do not have experience with SCT at all.

 

Its not 4 tunes, its 4 unlocks. When you tune your vehicle, it "vin locks" to that specific vehicle and will not work on other vehicles until the first one is returned to stock. If you return it to stock, and use it on another car, that will leave you with 3 unlocks, etc. Once you've used the last unlock, it will not work on anymore vehicle unless you have SCT unlock it which is pretty pricey. And just FYI, the X2, the X3, the SF3, and the LiveWire can hold 3 custom tunes, the SCT 4 Bank Eliminator Chip can hold up to 4 custom tunes.
