I am not shure if this is the right place to post this,so mods please move it if necessary.

I am going to buy a mach 1 soon and wanted to know if I can swap a six speed trans into it? If so what will I need to make everything work? I can do major fabrication,but if I could get away without having to fabricate-that would be my first choice.Is there a specific tranny that is better than others? Just need some input!

all you need is a different bell housing,tranny, and a driveshaft. as well as a clutch flywheel and other parts im not remembering

 

So basically its just a bolt in and a (shorter/longer)driveshaft? Does anyone sell a kit?

The speedo is Mechanical i think....It is NOT digital. I have a Mach. And yes you can swap out your trans. with the Cobra (so im told by the dealership) But you must wait untill your warranty is up or else it will VOID it.

 

Computerized speedo... no 'lil speedo gears in the newer ones...

 

Correct thats why when you get new gears you reflash to correct your speedo
