Default Erratic Idle

The following is my post from a local Mustang forum:

Well I thought I had this problem fixed, but I was wrong. This is what is happening. Once my 95 5.0 has been driven for a few minutes, and almost up to temp, when you shift the car in neutral (5-spd.), the tach sits at 1,000 RPM's. It sometimes drops to the normal 750 RPM idle, sometimes not. Further complicating matters, sometimes the car idles high, sometimes not. To date I have done the following:
Cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner, 3 times
Removed and cleaned the IAC
Removed and cleaned the MAF, twice
Adjusted the TPS (was only able to get a reading of .96 after adjustment, instead of the .98-.99 per the musclar mustang article I found)

When I bought the car in March I did a complete tune-up on the car. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PCV, breather, air filter, fuel filter, Mobil 1 oil change, and O2 sensors. I also run a bottle of seafoam at that time, and another about a month ago.

I am at a loss. I don't drive the car that often, less than 100 miles a month. I would like to fix the problem before I put it away in a couple of months for winter storage. Any ideas I would appreciate it.

The next day I sent the following response:

So I thought I would drive the Mustang to work this morning to give a little more insight to the problem. I work about 10 minutes and 3.5 miles from home, all city driving a lot of stop signs and stop lights. By the time I got to the end of my street, it was already idling at 1,000 RPM. I drove the next half a mile or so and the RPM’s were at 1,500 in neutral. Drove another half a mile or so, and they had increased to 2,000. After approximately a mile of driving, and the car idling around 2,000 in neutral, I came to a stop light about a mile from work. I shut the car off until the light turned green. I started it back up, and drove to work with no idle problems. After I got to work, I let it sit for a few minutes, and it idled normally at about 750 RPM.

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.
Justin.
