Painting Midpipe?
I just bought a used pypes midpipe and it doesnt seem to be very pretty. i was planning on cleaning it up some, but i was wondering if anyone has painted them? it would look better and help protect it. i may also do the whole thing before the tips. anyone done it?
I have painted many exhaust parts using autozones high temp aluminum ceramic paint and it actually comes out really nice. Here is a picture of a set of MAC Lt's that I painted before I sold them.

I dont have a before picture but I can tell you for sure that they looked like hell. As far as prepping goes, I usually just use a scuff pad and scuff the hell out of them. Than I use a two stage liquid paint prep that you can get at autozone. After that, make sure you dont touch them with your bare hands (oils, etc.) and than spray on
Not sure if they sell them at autozone or not, but theres handles with triggers that you can attach to spray cans. They really help if your trying to get the best paint from a rattle can. They allow you to really feel the sensitivity. GL.
