Go read in the V6 section for a bit on this topic. You'll quickly learn that you can make more power cheaper and easier by building the V6 rather than swapping in a V8.

i would say consider building up your V6, before you do the swap

alright thanks, but the way i was seeing it, its going to cost me more to build a v6 than build a v8. either way i know how to work on cars so either one is an acceptable idea

Yea but before you can start 'building' the V8 you first need to go through the expense of installing it along with ALL the other bits & pieces the V8 needs..

If you can get a V8 cheaply and are eager to do the swap then go for it, especially if you can do the work yourself.

For other people who would have to hire a garage to do the swap, the conversion wouldn't be cost effective at all.

If it costs you more to build a V6 than a V8 you are doing it wrong.
What numbers did you use to get that conclusion?

you should be able to get some decent power out of the V6 for cheaper than building a V8

i got the car cheap an clean. and the way im lookin at it and not numbers is if you have the same build on a v6 compared to a v8, the v8 is going to make more power. as it is i know where i can get a 351w for cheap and already has some parts on it.so money wise theres your answer
