Default removing rear seat

Ive got a 2002 covertible and since it is spring i wanna clean the car good. How do you take out the rear seat because i wanna clean out any **** that has gotten stuffed it there from pullin people around. (plus any $ thats fallen out)

I can't speak for the 2002 model, but I can't imagine they've changed the rear seat mount much over the years. In my 82, 85 and 93 you basically climb in the back facing toward the back (scoot both front seats all the way up). Grab below the seat cushion with one hand on each side, and while pulling up - push the seat bottom toward the back of the car until it comes up. There are only two "hooks" holdding it down toward the front of the seat bottom. The back portion is held in by the simple fact that it slides back/under the seat backs. Once you get it out you'll understand and see how to goes back in - just a reverse process - push it in the back, and while pushing towards the back (usually requires quite a bit of muscle) push it down until you feel it slide in the opening of the "hook".

If the later models have changed their ways then somebody else will need to provide a better answer

you need a screw driver push in tabs one at a time pulls right out ,,if you lift up just a bit you can see a white platic deal thats what you push on ...
