auto trans shifts fine til overdrive then nothing?

...whens the last time the fluid & filter have been changed?? ...but it sounds like rebuild time...

i owned an 89 that had 373 gears and blew the overdrive band out. after a tci rebuild the trans specialist that rebuilt it said absolutely no racing with it left in overdrive. Maybe you melted the od bands. theyre pretty thin from what he told me.
