Default 05 GT leaking inside! Help!

Hi All,

I'm having an issue with water(?) leaking from under my passenger side dash, behind the glovebox. I've owned the car for over a year and never had any water come in before. I don't know if it's leaking in from outside or if it's coming from a heater or somewhere else. The first time it did it we had a lot of snow and rain (10/28/08) and I thought it was leaking from outside. Since then it has leaked a little bit but not like that. It doesn't happen every day but note that my heat has been on. I removed the glovebox and I could feel wetness on top of the square box thing behind there (I don't know what that box is). Above that space seemed dry. Maybe coming from that box thing?

Any ideas would be a great help. If you haven't guessed already, I'm a woman with no mechanical skills...I just love my car! Thanks!

Does the water have any kind of smell to it? It might be the heater core.

I don't think it smells. When it was leaking the heat was on and my car didn't fog up, but I guess that only means the water wasn't hot.

Do you have any idea as to what that square box is back behind the glovebox?
