Well you can do a burn out by reving up your engine and then dumping the clutch. Like at around 3000-4000rpm. You can also do a line lock by doing the same thing, but in addition you hold down the brake with your left foot while you give it gas. You can do a burn out in 1st or 2nd. But I could only do a line lock in 1st. But then again I bet if I dumped the clutch at 5000rpm I could have gotten the tires to keep spining, but I dont want to abuse my car that much.

put the heel of ur right foot on the brake, and ur toe of that foot on the gas.. use ur left foot on the clutch.. hold down the brake.. push some gas in and let the clutch off.. voila

Not in my stang but ive done i in my buds bimmer, simple as pushing the brake and the gas at the same tiem and finding the right amount for each to not move and to keep the back tires spinning if your trying to do a brake stand

Sergey, I don't reccomend doing that. Good way to mess up your transmission. I have an automatic and when I want to do a burnout, I just hold the brake and nail the gas, then just let up off the brake enough to hold it there but keep the tires spinning.

Yeah its simple to do a burn out with a stick if you want you can rev it up a bit and hold the brake, but with me all I have to do is press down the gas and the tires will go solo, but I can never do a brake stand no matter how hard I hold the brake.

burning out in a standard is easy...just rev up and slide your foot off the clutch so it sort of pops so you can get the tires to spin easy...then you can pt that foot on the brake and make a nice smoke show...or do the heel toe to do a burnout but thats a little more difficult...doing a burnout in an auto is easy...just brake and gas...the 4 cylinders cand do it because i have and am driving one right now...

In my auto, if I am having trouble getting the powerbrake goin, i punch the gas and then right after that step on the brake at the same time that'll do the trick too.
