Does anyone know if this is the correct rear main seal for the 99 s351r http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku

 

on the applications list, it says only up to 83. after that they changed the seal. it went from a 2 piece to a 1 piece rear main seal (i believe)

 

But I want too put in a 2 piece so I can do it by just dropping the pan.I think the blocks are all the same.Am I wrong

 

you will need a different crank to change the seal. im not sure if the blocks are the same

What do you mean differnent crank?

 

i wish i took a pic of it, but i ran into this problem when i built my 351. the crank was scratched, so i found another one. BUT the cranks were diff. one had a protrusion for the rear seal, other didnt. so i had to cut the one i had, which was 100 bucks [:@]
