Default Looking for car to engine swap

Alright, basically it goes like this.

A friend(like family) just bought a stroker for his stang, so he is selling his old 302 that is bored and polished and all that jazz, says it can put out 350 HP. He is selling it for 1g and it needs a couple things, mostly low price stuff, only big thing is a new carb, so out of 3 things that is the biggest. I plan on buying the engine before the car because finding a powerful engine that is affordable is kinda hard and this thing is pretty much set, so the only thing to do is find a car.

Now I was thinking 4th generation model, 1994-1996, how ever I was told it would have to be a GT because the rear end on a coupe would snap and I would need a tranny that can handle it. How ever GTs are still kinda high for that generation unless something is really messed. So then I thought maybe get the same kind of car he has, the 3rd generation stang, roughly a 1989 model. Now would a LX be okay or would I need to swap some parts or what? Could a coupe take it? Do I need a GT? What kind of car should I get for it?

There is no 33 spline axles or 35s there is 31s but you will need a new carrier for those!Lx or GT are the same it doesnt matter. The 7.5 rear will work but if you beat it it will break.Any stang will work try to get one with a 5.0 already that way everything in it will work for what you want.If you get a six cylinder you will need a new tranny but you could use the rear like i said above but it will bust if you beat it.You wouldnt have to worry about wiring cause its carbuterated so all you need is power to the coil wire.

Alright, Mike(the guy with engine) suggested a 3g because parts are more pluntiful. So why not, they aren't bad anyways. He gave me roughly a 4g guess on total cost. The engine will go carberated, rear end will be fine, actually he drove on it with the 302, I know he floored it a couple times and it didn't bust. Drive shaft will be cool, transmission will be needed, what does it take to get a 6 speed?

Oh, he killed an LS1 with this engine on his car, all engine, ran 4.56 gears. I'm hoping, least in my dreams, that all this auto work clicks good and I like it and eventually put a charger on it.
