My friend has a question an i dont have an answer for him so i figured id ask the pros. he has a 89' lx and he is putting in a 302 from a 92' vert. heres the Q. I am putting in my new motor and i'm not running any of the smog, I blocked off the back of the heads and eliminated the smog pump. I want to clean up the engine bay by take out some of that stuff i'm not going to need. I kno there is some emissions stuff on the passenger shock tower can i get rid of that? and how about the charcoal canister? Any suggestions will help thanks

 

you should be able to get rid of the canister without any problems, but im not positive, as for the vacuum for the smog i left it there and just blocked it off

 

Ipulled of my pump and all the tubeing going from the head to the pump and to the exaust then blocked off the headsbut left the vacume lines and solinoids but did cut the lines short and pluged them no problems at all
