rear fluid change

Default rear fluid change

i noticed today my rear end is leakin fluid pretty well.. In the morning i think im going to change the fluid and silicone the cover. How much gear oil should i buy and what type?

3 quarts of 75-140

And a small bottle of friction modifier. Any brand works really... I always use Motorcraft in mine. Are you sure its leaking from the cover, and not the front seal?

thought it was 2 quarts + friction modifer? ....I'd go with 75w90

Its goin to take about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 quarts, and the bottle of modifier is only like an oz, not much

one of those little hose pump deals to get the fluid in the hole makes the job a little easier, but not required. +1 on the 75 or 80w90 for fluid
