Default Stick-on TPMS sensors???

Took the car to Discount Tire for it's new tires and wheels yesterday (i had the wheels and new sensors, DT had the tires.) They were just mounting the last tire when the salesman came out and said they needed to refund the money for the bands because i had stick on-sensors. I said there was no such thing and the tape on the cradle was to help keep the sensors from rotating on the wheel and tried to give him a brief physics lesson, he said it's ok we do it all the time.
Tires were balanced perfectly and rode great-for about two miles when the steering wheel started shaking, i thought maybe bad road and turned onto the interstate-long story short, the car was shaking sery badly and i could hear something metallic banging around in at least one tire by the time i got home. Called to tell them, they said probably needs a road force balance bring it in. Going back this morning and demanding bands on them...unless anyone knows for sure the sensors are really "stick on".

Problem solved! The tire mounting guys got to thinking instead of mounting tires.
Discount Tire installed bands and rebalanced free of charge. These Nittos and 18X9 wheels ride and handle much better than the old Pirellis did. Thanks OE wheel for the prompt service and suggestion that I use the 04 offset instead of the 05.
