Well, I suggest getting a nice v6. If it were me, I would prefer a nice, lower mileage V6 over a Higher milage, high power V8. Unless you were planning on racing them . But remember a 5 speed is a MUST =D

See now I would rather have a less optioned GT than a fully loaded V6. It's nice having it all, but I would rather have the power than the options.

+1, I wouldn't bother buying a stang unless it was an 8 personally.

If performance isn't a top priority, I vote for a well optioned 2005+ V6. Definitely get a manual transmission though.

kind of defeats the purpose of having a stang if it isnt an 8.

for the money spent on a sixxer you could easily find a nicer car for the comforts of daily driving.

Not everyone needs a lot of power. In fact, a V6 will get you around town at the speed limit just as well as a V8. Shhhh, don't tell.

You GT lovers realize the GT( high 14's) isn't that much more impressive than the v6 right. For the price of a GT, and the price of a sixxer, supercharged v6 will be less than a GT and WAY faster. JUST my OPINION. The added horsepower for the extra money, nah I'm good, hell just a h+c+intake naturally aspriated would murder a new edge GT(from 5k-10k extra depending on the model brand new). I say v6, or just make the plunge to a cobra. GL

So now S197 V6's with light boltons are murdering new edge GT's?

that was exactely my point.

you can get a much more comfortable DD than a mustang. so if the OP doesnt need the extra power and just wants a DD, why not get a car with a nicer interior? im sure you could easily find one cheap that would be more comfortable than a stang.

sixxers just arent worth it IMO.

it depnds, you buying used or new?what yr exactly do you want?you can search car.com or other sites and get a used gt or even a cobra, for easily under 20k.ive seen 01 cobras with under 10,000 miles for less than 20 grand, and are just as fast,if not faster than the s197 gt stangs.if u want to be fast, start off with a v8.the weakness of lesser cars gets boring
