New Stang!
Whats up guys, Im new to the site but not to the mustang scene. I owned an 88 notch, auto trans but destroyed the quarter panel hitting a guard rail and didnt have the time or money to fix it. I sold it to a buddy of mine and now I am going to be the proud owner of an 88 gt, 5 spd (fingers crossed) as of tomorrow. It is in decent shape, needs a few things here and there and a paint job for sure. What 20 year old car doesnt?
I figured I would change all of the fluids and work out any obvious mechanical kinks that I can find. As of right now the seller pointed out a bad o ring on one of the injectors and a driveshaft in need of re balancing. So I have a few questions that I thought you guys could answer. Would it be easier to just get a brand new drive shaft or is it worth it to get t re balanced? How much of a job is it to change the o rings on the injectors? Does'nt look too bad but if I dont have to disassemble the top end I would rather not. Also what gear oil should I run in the rear diff and tranny? Thanks guys I look forward to the advice.

id say just go ahead and upgrade to a 1 piece aluminum drive shaft to prep for future mods, no idea about the injectors, but it shouldnt be that hard, worst comes to worst you replace the fuel injectors,
any reputable synthetic fluids are pretty good, royal purple is supposedly really good
heres a good read up on the injectors
