Default 08 BBK CAI running lean...need advise

OK here goes, ran my 08 stock when I brought it home from dealer. 3 months later purchased a BBK cai from American Muscle (BBK states no tune needed, but might need a higher octane) Installed CAI...ran great no codes, not running lean. Running regular unleaded. Ran the car this way for a month, then purchased a tuner and tune from Bama Chips...Car ran even better. No problems, no codes not running lean. Running mid grade fuel. Then the car needed to go back to the dealer for a recall (the air bag thing) I returned the car to stock air box and original factory tune. Ran great no problems. Got the recall thing done. Installed the BBK CAI...dummie engine light stays on. Codes from the tuner says running lean. Installed Bama Tune (which was for the BBK CAI) STILL runs lean. Even with mid grade gas. Got pissed and put original air box back on and flashed back to factory tune. MONTHS go by, car is running great, but I have a tuner and CAI just sitting there, so yesterday I installed the CAI....Car running lean now. Put in 91 octane gas and still running lean. I would like to continue to use the CAI but I am not comfortable running the car lean. SOMEONE please help.
Dave
