Steam from A/C vents

Steam from A/C vents
I noticed steam coming from my ac vents and the thermostat temp was redlining. Is this a symptom of overheating? If not what could it be?

my extra coolant tank is always going dry as well. I'm pretty sure there is no leak in that...

check the passenger side floor below the dash for signs of colant leaking.

def sounds like a bad heater core to me.
