Default TPMS sensor position

I am getting the original sensors swapped from my old wheels to my new wheels and was wondering if I will have to "retrain" them if I inatall them in a different position on the car. For instance, the sensor that used to be on the left front is now on the right front. I don't think I will since I am reusing the original sensors but thought I would ask. I mean if that were the case you would have to retrain them everytime you rotated your tires. Thanks.

Yes, you have to "retrain" them. If you don't, it will tell you that the right/front is low when the left rear is actually the problem.

Just replaced the stock wheels on my 2008 Mustang Gt with new wheels & sensors that I got from American Muscle. Bought the whole kit that included sensors, bands & training tool. We have not had to retrain the new sensors. Put them on & was prepared to retrain but never got alarm.

Ok after rereading your post if you are re-using your existing sensors my understanding is you don't have to do anything. We changed sensors & didn't have to do anything.
