Default Mustang Chip....

I own a 2003 Mustang 6 banger(auto). I currently put in an Intake. But i want to do something about the RPM's. 5300-5400 redline is too soon.

Is there a chip that will add HP and take the rev off?

Thanx guyys

Tweecer, SCT 4-bank custom eliminator chip,SCT handheld micro-tuner, custom Hypertech chips and tuners, and Diablo chips and tuners are ur best bet....they all eliminate factory rev-limiters and add power.

There is a reason for that rev limiter... so your engine doesn't disasemble itself. Why would you want to rev that motor so high? If anything you want to build low end power for the street. High RPM's are only good if you do road racing. If you want to rev that little motor any higher you proly want to build the engine to actually handle the abuse.

Or trade that V6 and get something more reputable.... a V8.

So a chip would not be a smart thing to do?

if ur sticking with the v6....id check out the hypertech handheld power programmer. They featured it on "Horsepower TV" and it gave nice gains.
