This afternoon, the trunk lock on my 1995 Mustang won't open. The key, of course, will turn in the lock, but the trunk lid won't come open. Does anyone have any idea about what could be going wrong?

Try pushing the trunk release form the glove box. The cable may have snaped leading form the key lock to the trunk lock

 

If it makes the clicking sound when you hit it just press it alot quickly and it might catch. It's what I have to do to mine. I just got laid off so I believe I finally have some time to do some much needed work to the car.
