Default 4.6 cobra motor in a v6 or old

I might have access to a 98 cobra motor w/trans for cheapout of a friends wrecked carand I was wondering what I would need to do to put it in a V6 car or maybe a older 94 or 95 5.0 mustang. I'm mostly interested in what would need to be done with the computer and wiring harness. How big of a pain would it be to change all that and would I even have to. I'm trying to go the cheapest route because I don't have that much money. I'm just trying to crunch somenumbers to see if I have the funds to do it or not and to seehow hard it would be now.Any helpor tips on the whole process would be greatly appreciated.

You need the wiring and computer too, so your best be is to NOT do it unless you have an entire donor car, or your friend not minding that you yank all his factory non-chassis wiring.

Thank for the reply. How hard would it be to change computers and wiring. I know I could do the wrenching but wiring scares me.</P>

When you take everything off the other car, label EVERY single wire imaginable, and it can make the swap much easier..
