Default Problems with paint

So I felt the need to vent and talk about the latest problem with my new 09 GT.

So shortly after purchasing my brand new mustang in January, I left the vehical with the dealership to have some 10" stripes painted on through there prefered body shop. $1700 and a week later, I am now driving a very slick vaper silver stang with 10x2" black stipes! A couple of months go buy, and I start noticing a problem with the racing stripes where it meets the hood scoop. In particular, the paint has started to get pushed up and flake off. Now of course I am rather disapointed and upset with this turn of events, so I call up the place who did the work and was told to drop it off and they would take care of the issue.

So last night I bite the bullet and drop my car off and pick up a rental until the work is completed *god I hate wasting money like this*. After a short call today explaning the situation, the shop owner actually has the ***** to tell me that the problem is with the bolted on hood scoop rubbing on the hood, and that the issue would continue to occure and nothing can be done to prevent it. WTF!!!! $1700 spent and nothing can be done!

I proceed to ask about putting in a gasket of some kind between the hood and the scoop to prevent the rubbing, and the owner sounded shocked by this idea but said that it should work *fabrication required*. Now I dont know if I have just been increadibly unlucky with my purchase and options, but this new car has started to become a time/money sink. I have already had to replace one of the door panals because of air bubbles between the fabric, and will soon be replacing the silver steering wheel spokes because they were never properly adheared by the manifacture. This is in conjunction with some paint missing off the passanger side door handle which the dealer "touched up" and feels kinda ruff.

All in all, I really like my mustang and in the past couple of months have spent well over 4000 bucks in simple improvements "new head unit, rims, tires", and I know that more money will be spent before I am really content with it. But at the same time, the little things like this paint issue has really got me hot under the coller. That being said, have any of you guys had any issues with your stangs and paint or other defects?

/end rant

If you had gotten a good painter to do that you wouldn't have had that problem.
