curious on misfire info.
I honestly have no clue if my car has this problem. How can I tell if my car is misfiring? I'm asking this because I have 67k on my 96 and I dont think the coil pack or plug wires have ever been changed is it time? I got the car used at the time with 47k on it. also I have bosch platinum ir fusion plugs and was told to get rid of them is this true? if so what brand to get?

The wires probably need to be replaced at this point. Some say 100K, others say 50K, but 13 year old wires can't be good. Coil pack should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it unless it goes out.

You will be able to feel a missfire. While driving, it feels like the car is jerking, almost like a fish on a line and at idle it will shake. Plus your OBD2 computer will fire off a general misfire code resulting in a check engine.

No, it will do it constantly at idle. You would be able to see the motor rock slightly when it misses. The exhaust note will change, the steering wheel will shake slightly when it happens.
