Hey...long time since I've been here.

I know that this has been covered here and elsewhere, but I'm not finding a definitive answer. Hopefully someone can help me to make a decision.

I have an '05 with a shaker 500 that has developed a problem. It doesn't shut off when the key is removed and the door is opened. As hard as I try to remember to shut it off when I leave the car, I have forgotten a few times and dealt with a dead battery.

I like this stereo, despite all of the criticisms, and have found them all over the place used and as new take-offs for very reasonable prices.

The question is:

I use Sirius satellite radio with a separate tuner that broadcasts to the fender antenna. Not a great arrangement, and I'm hoping to improve on it.

I know that the '07 and up decks have an AUX input on the front, and I have heard that there's a hook-up on the back of some...even the '05s.

How can I connect the sirius radio directly to a shaker 500 deck? What cord is needed and most importantly, which year deck should I get?

Again, sorry for asking such a heavily trodden question, and any help is greatly appreciated.
