Default Clutch

This has prob been discussed and I apologize if this is a repeat..

Put in a new clutch (2000 V6, 112,000) had my clutch put in yesterday / today. runs fine.. much better .. only thing is when the damn thing is in neutral/idle and running there is this squeakin noise (almost sounds like a tapping).. sounds like a belt/ pully.. i dunno wtf.. the noise is only at idle and it goes away when the clutch is pressed. Thinking its an issue in the contact point between the fork and pivot ball???? I had somebody tell me that it could be the new TOB tryin to settle... He said I should drive the car for about 1000 miles, and the TOB should quiet down and become silent. it just needs to break itself in and seat itself properly over time. .. who knows. anybody have any other ideas on why it is sqeaking/tapping at idle???

It could be the throwout bearing just grazing the pressure plate fingers.

I don't know if pulling up on the pedal ratchets the cable tighter in your year car but it will on 87-93's.
This will tighten the cable and keep the bearing in constant contact with the fingers and quite it up.

To test this theory, does just the slightest pressure on the clutch pedal quite up the noise?

Thanks for the response..

yes, I barley push in the clutch/tap the clutch and the noise stops.

You can re-adjust the clutch cable by pulling up on the clutch.. I tried but I do not know how much "force" you can use by pulling up on the clutch. I dont want to bend my clutch petal.

I'm also not sure how much pressure the plastic mechanism can handle from an upward pull but I can garantee you no clutch pedal bending is happening.
