Default stearing wheel

The previous owner of my 2003 coupe did somenthing to the original stearing wheel and now i want to replace it. its a mustang steering wheel but it looks like its for a different model. where can i find a good replacement.

also how would i go about changing the wheel i have electrical knowledge but still need a few tip on how to do this.

A very simple job. Best and cheapest bet would be going to a junkyard. Although you can probably find them on ebay for a good deal.

Disconnect your battery so your airbag doesn't deploy while you are working on the wheel. There are 2 screws in each side that hold the airbag in place. Remove it and unhook the wires from the airbag. Then unhook your horn and cruise if you have it. then take the nut out of the center of the wheel. I believe it is a star pattern bolt so you'll need the special socket.

Once you get that the wheel is ready to come off. It'll still feel like its secured but put some man into it and it'll come lose. It's a really simple task and doesn't involve any electrical knowledge other than disconnecting plugs and connecting them back. 10-15 minutes tops.

that doesnt sound to bad. i thought i was going to have to re wire it but thats great thanks.
