Exclamation No/crappy torque and odd breaks?

I have a 03 standard coupe mustang, 55k miles, no accidents and passes all tests. But it really sucks when it comes to going up hill, sudden increase in speed(especially from a dead stop or low speed) and has very odd breaking strength. With the breaks, I'm guessing i just need new ones, nothing should be seriously wrong with them. They do tend to be pretty weak sensitive-wise. All other cars I've driven have much more touch-sensitive breaks(takes little pressure for the car to start to stop/slow down.) Any ideas?
And do standard mustangs have good torque? What exactly is it, how does it work? If I have more than 2 people in my car(me included) my car feels dreadfully heavy and slow. It takes forever to break and even longer to speed up.
With just me, I can never even try to cut in-front of someone, you can try and hit the gas hard, but nothing, you have to to mid-way then back to lightly and slowly increase to get it to go fast more quickly.
How/what is going on? Any ideas at all will be greatly appreciated!
Extra, Is they mustang horn always so weak and soft sounding, is it possible to change that?
Thanks!

Replace your brakes. Most likely just the front pair need replacing.

Your entering the hill in the wrong powerband. If your starting that hill at lets say, 2000RPM try 3000 or even 4000RPM before you enter it.

Yeah. Depending on how beefy your friends are, having two of them in your car will slow you down, just like in any other car. Just look at the math. If you and your friends combined weigh 500 lbs. thats adding 500 lbs. to the vehicles curb weight. And 500 lbs = .5 in the 1/4 mile, which is considerably slower.

Btw, it's an automatic. Yea, usually it does well. Sometimes nothing seems to work though...

Exclamation

so how do I make it faster? I've driven another mustang similar to mine and it goes when you tell it to, no need for tricks and stuff like that.
