Default A/C problems

Hey guys, I picked up my 88 lx a few weeks ago, and have slowly been getting everything back into working order. I finally got the A/C working this past weekend, and I noticed that if I drive for over 20-25 miles my air seems to die. It continues to blow cold, it's just really weak. I also noticed that the drain for my A/C won't drain as I'm driving, it only drains once I'm parked. could the water being held in the drain cause the blower to weaken after so long?

Thanks,

Stephen

It could be freezing up and when you shut the car off the ice melts and you see it draining.
