Thanks for proving my point Legion.
Pick a top end blower at a good price on the V8, then pick a crappy over priced set up for a V6 and compare them. PURE GENIUS! Facts, facts and yet more facts.

And for every video you post comparing Saleen to Roush with Saleen winning, I can show one of Roush beating the socks of the Saleen. Again, it's all in how you chose to look at it. How is Steve's company doing... wait, he's still there right?

If the GT is so much better, and it's better to start with a higher platform - then using that logic, all GT owners FAIL for not getting the 32V platform to start with.

A heavily modded V6 will probably loose to a heavily modded GT - dumb point. Let's look at what it costs to get there from start to finish? Nobody likes doing that.

Mudvayne - You like to keep repeating "a modded V6 keeping up with stock GT cars". Get off it. My N/A V6 was more powerful than a bolt on PI 4.6L of the same year. I'm talking 500 to 700 rwhp V6s that are out there. I know it's hard for GT owners to admit, but they are popping up more and more.

Why is it so hard for the V8 fan boys to admit there are fast Mustangs that aren't V8s?

Is it just me or has everyone forgot that this would void all warranties he may still have on the car? Either mildly build the sixxer, or trade it in for an 8 to work on. If you want to go for all out power, motor swaps, ect buy a car without a warranty.

I don't recall saying that a single time. I may have said take a heavily modded 6 and a heavily modded 8 and see which one wins.

But I could care less what you have to say. To each their own. If you enjoy doing that then great. I had a v6 as my first mustang and I wouldn't ever own one again.

You keep bringin up cost, your performance per $ is WAY higher on a v8 then a v6. Even if you did equal mods on v6 vs. a v8, lets say you did pay less for the v6, it wouldnt be much less, but your parts costs more and your performance is probable 30% worse or more, you factor that in with your $ per hp and the v8 wins every time, hands down. Now add that to the fact that you can buy a v8 mustang for the almost same price a v6 if you shop around then your really down in the dumps. Now I agree that it is cheaper to start with a v6 car... because they are worth nothing, but then sticking with the v6 will be much more expensive per hp and the performance will still suck and have terrible reliability, even the 4.6 has terrible reliability for heavily modded apps because of the small displacement and the worse v8 heads known to man. Also the 32v isn't a whole lot better, Id rather have ported 2v than stock 4v, but to build your 4v heads to hang with ls1 heads your going to have to spend 3-4k... not that impressive actually.

Wow, should I post a 9 sec V6 pass? Wait, that proves nothing... just like that post. Amazing. I'm so impressed with the V8 agruements.

And if you take the money saved buy buying the V6, 9 times out of 10, that money spent in mods will have a V6 that will outrun the GT you didn't buy. Sorry that pisses off so many of you.

Mudvayne - You claim to care less what I say, yet you keep commenting... is someone lying to themselves? And I'll toss this quote in for ya to show you can't even remember what you wrote. This is in reply to me saying you keep saying me needing a modded V6 to outrun a stock GT.

Post #49, second paragragh. Go back and read.

You guys crack me up. All it takes is one V6 owner to upset a whole mess of you.
I'm done with this thread - it's so far off track that it's not funny.

Wow, My original warrenty for the car is gone in about 100 miles. My backup warrenty for the next 4 years just covers powertrain. I have 2 sides to this. I don't really plan on selling this car as it's my first mustang and will be rather nostelgic to me. But at the same time I dont wanna slap in a power hungry V8 and tear up my differental on the first day. Again I don't want to get rid of this car. I enjoy the newer body style and the Pony grille insert.

You do realize the "powertrain" covers engine, transmission, axle, and drive shaft. If you still have four years on powertrain, just keep the six with slight mods done.

Keep you warr as long as you can. I'd mod the crap out of the suspension and brakes firsst. You'd be surprised how much you wake up the car without adding power to it.

To break free of the "v8 crowd" you are lumping everyone in. I own 2 cars(neither which are a Mustang). One is a 4cyl one is a v6. I grew up my dad owning a 64 1/2 I6.

I even considered buying a v6 mustang and 2 points in my life. 1. when I turned 16 and did not know the different. 2. When there was an 11 second turbo v6 new edge.

v8 > v6. Even if it has to come down to just sound alone. v8 > v6

I will respect a v6 that can go fast. Although I give it the same respect I give a Honda that goes fast. "**** that's ****ing cool, BUT it's still a Honda.", "**** that's ****ing cool, BUT it's still a v6/chick car."

Could be that I like in a town where it seems like every college girl either drives a jetta or a v6 mustang. v6 Mustang = Jetta IMHO

But again to each their own. That is MY opinion. You have your own.
