Default Wheel issue...please help

Ok guys brand new to this forum. I bought a 2003 mustang gt from a guy last night that was salvaged (but appearently repaired professionally). One thing that worried me was that the wheels (has aftermarket "cobra" rims) on the drivers side stick out further than the wheels on the passenger side. I am worried this means there is "frame damage". Is there anything else that would cause this to happen?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

i would have taken that car to a shop to look at before i bought it. but there could very well be frame damage if it was totalled. I hope he showed you some recipts of this so-called "professional repair". if not then that means it was prob done in his friends shop by a group of amateurs sitting around sharing a case of beer. i would definatley take it to a shop and have them put it on a lift and check it out for you. there could be other things wrong that would cause the wheel to stick out a little more, but seeing as this car has a salvage title, a bent frame would be a good place to start.

yea, takin it up to ford's collision center here in a few...figure they are the best ones to tell me if there is indeed an issue. Luckily i wrote up a condition to the sale that i have 7 days to have the body and mechanics inspected for major problems (and if found can bring the car back)

from reading the forums it sounds like an adjustable panhard bar is a common solution to this appearantly common problem?
