Well I drive a manual trans, yes its more fun. I like being connected to the car. However, auto for a daily driver is better. Auto is better for drag racing. The manual is good for autox and roll racing. If your looking for a performance edge... get something with more power

After I teach my lady how to drive it, I'll have to wait be able to practice and I can't learn more for a while thanks to the fact that I have received approximately three moving violations each month for 3-4 months. I have to be very careful since the cops got lasers.

If my relationship with Ford Credit pans out according to plan, and the few months once I can drive legally again, before the 2011 beast is unleashed go OK, I'll be prepared for my purchase of what I'm now hoping will be the 400/400 Coyote with a six speed standard trans.
a 5-speed is easy to learn, I actually had bought a 5 speed Camaro when i was 17, had my dad drive it home haha,,, I used my basic knowledge of the process from playing video games, stalled maybe 5 times the whole first week, never have looked back since! I will always drive a manual car, tons of fun and your in full control.

Once you learn how to get outta 1st gear, everything else is a piece of cake! I can get my stang rolling just easing the clutch out, very easy to drive.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out yet that he stated he has so many points on his license he cant legally drive for months... And now he is looking to swap into more power and tire shredding manual.
A couple things to consider:

You need to learn to drive legally before you try to mix the manual in as well

You are going to be very very upside down on that Mustang you are selling, unless your parents had put down a very large amount of money when purchased, in which case you are just throwing your parents money out the window. Although if they have that much money, and buy you a car, I doubt you care about the moral implications of that.

When you are allowed to drive again, your insurance is going to be absolutely insane. But again, if your parents put alot of money down on your car, they probably pay your insurance too and you don't care.

Sorry I am being a bit presumptuous here, but you don't seem to care that you have a nice car, got so many tickets you cant drive, and don't care that you are throwing a ton of money out the window for a very small gain.

My car was a graduation gift you pompous *****. And I know how to drive legally, I just sometimes don't. Now go hail your Caesar and police someone with your outdated Mustang.

sorry for trying to give you some legit points to consider. Have a good life. I'll go feel bad about my currently 550HP outdated mustang I acutaly managed to buy and build myself now. You feel good about being a big man behind your parents money, and keep looking those gift horses in the mouth

Who's bragging about being a big man with "550 horsepower" and wow - you built your Mustang? The first thing I said in this thread was that I love my car. And I am 22, a college grad, and stuck with no job at the moment, but I have a dream. The nerve of some people...

yeah, the nerve of some people, taking statements you made, drawing logical conclusions, and trying to bring some common sense to the table to ultimately help YOU out. You seem like the college educated type.

Coupled with a presumptuous disposition, good intention almost always falls flat.
