Default Brightest headlights

(placing this in the general forum also)

I have poor night vision, so a few months ago, I upgraded my '03 Cobra headlight and foglamp bulbs to the Blue Oval Industries blue-white bulbs (http://www.blueovalindustries.com/products.php?pid=707) and was terribly disappointed in the brightness. I can't see squat in the dark!

Within the last week, I tried the Luminics pure white bulbs (http://www.americanmuscle.com/lumini...ure-white.html), and was equally disappointed. They weren't any brighter!
Even more so, because American Muscle folks almost didn't take them back because they were 'used', now that I tried them (I didn't even leave my driveway). Ultimately, they are taking them back - thank goodness.

Now, doing online searches say that PIAA bulbs are good, but they don't boast anything different than the Blue Oval or Luminics.

Is there anything out there worth my while, w/o wasting time and money?

LED??? Suggested sites/products/prices?
HID??? Suggested sites/products/prices?
Projectors? Suggested sites/products/prices?

if you want to spend a little extra money iwould go with the hid kits, i got mine on ebay for $70 and in a 12k bulb, works great, i put 10k in my bike and they're even brighter. If you want to use normal 9007 bulbs the best i can think of would be the silverstar. As for fog bulbs they do make hid kits for them also but i never had them. Also if your looking for alot of light from fogs you should go with projector foglights

I have the Silverstars in my 92 with smoked lights and they work really good, or it could be that I haven't been able to see for years before doing this. Those fox body lights are tough.

Personally, I'd suggest HID. I went that way after a tonne of "aftermarket" bulbs, and I won't look back now.

The best aftermarket bulbs I did find that are non HID were the Philips CRYSTAL VISION ULTRA 9007CV Halogen.

I am now upgrading my headlights from stock to the cobra style since my lenses are pretty clouded, and they have been cleaned 4 times this summer already. If your lenses are hazy, it will affect the light output greatly.

I already replaced the lenses because mine too were nasty/hazy. The next step was the bulbs, which is the path I've been going down w/o much success as of yet.

Any suggestions for HIDs? Brands? Purchase places (websites)?

Mine are stock, so I cant speak for any aftermarket brands. I am looking to go HID when I can afford it.

I bought a set of Halo Projector Lights from americanmuscle.com and they were plenty bright, I just bought a set of 10K HID lights to go with them, and they are unbeatable.
