Default '02 V6 turbo

got a couple questions about doing some mods to my totally stock V6:

i want to start working on the car but i'm not sure if the stock internal components can take the added performance boost if i install a turbo and an intercooler. does anyone have any experience with this? is there anything i should install first? any brand in particular i should look at?

thanks

Figure out your goals first, the odds are you will want to ditch the v-6.

Figure out your goals 1st. Then figure out not to take advice from V8 owner's who don't know about modding V6 cars.

After that, your stock motor is good to 350-400 hp with just boost, fuel upgrades and a tune (assuming you have a good tuner).

For turbo set ups for the sixer, the only person I'd buy from is Andy (TMAturbo.com). He is a V6 owner and the leader when it comes to setting up turbo blown 3.8/4.2L Mustangs. His products speak for themselves. Great quality, great price, and after a few quick searches in the V6 section, you'll see most will suggest him.

There are other parts of the car you might want to look into beefing up - the rear end being one. The stock 7.5" open diff will end up being a weak point for you.
