carfax.com will do it for u.. thats where i went when i ran the VIN on my stang and it worked out perfectly, it costs i believe 20 dollars to run a vin number, but its worth it..

I have buddy that wrecked his car, bought it back from the insurance co. and carfax says its clean!! He wrecked couple of years ago and just checked it last week. I cant believe it. I would still be careful....

 

Oh, I know carfax does it. I know some people have the unlimited for a month thing with carfax. Just wanted to see if someone had it aval. to run right now. I had it for one month, and only used it twice. (once on a buddies).. Didn't want to waste money again.

 

Ya but if he didnt buy it and someone else did they would have put the accident on there.If you buy the car back it doesnt go on the carfax.There is a garranty when you use it and if you find out the car was hit and they didnt know they will buy the car from you.

 

So, what one could do to get rid of the car, would be for me to buy it for, o i dont know, 10,000 (i must really like it), then i find that it was totaled out, and carfax will buy the car from me? Do they pay what you pay or what its really worth? Sounds too good to be true!! Good way to get rid of a car though......
