Default Caliper Question

Threw on a new set of rotors on my 85 GT. When I get to the calipers I can't get the caliper piston to push back. If anything its pushed out more. Any secrets to moving a stubborn piston or do I need new calipers. They are the original calipers, but with only 67,000 miles.

If the piston is not easily compressed back in the bore, it is likely that you need a new caliper. Even though the mileage is low, time has a lot to do with the pistons getting stuck. Corrosion usually will take place more rapidly when the car is driven less depending on the atmospheric conditions.

ya most likely its siezed if it doesnt move, you can try pulling back the rubber boot and spraying it with wd40 but most likely you need a new one cause if it sticks out it will ruin the rotor and pads

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I've tried everything I can think of to move it. Tool specificely designed for it, the c-clamp trick, putting the pads back in and trying to pry it open with a large screw driver. Even pulled about half the fluid out of the MC. No dice.
A reman. claiper is under $20, so I might as well get two and be done with it.
