Default Need 21mm thin wall socket

Suggestions? I like this one but I'm not sure it would work with a regular 1/2" drive torque wrench or not. It says it is for a impact wrench. Will this socket be interchangeable?

It will fit all 1/2" drives. That just means it is designed to be used with an impact. Most sockets arent made for impact use, so you need special sockets and thats one of them, but you can use it with any ratchet wrench or torque wrench and you will be fine.

Thanks

Wow this one is so much cheaper. Wish I could get one of these locally. I'm sure the snap-on would work but I'd like to save the money and go with this instead. I just don't know if it will work, is thin enough, and I hate throwing money away.

Unless you are going to ever use the socket on an impact, get a chrome one. I have both and even though it says thin wall, it is still quite a bit thicker than a chrome one and the chrome one will be cheaper. Where are you in Montana? I lived in Helena until about 5 years ago.

Living in Billings.

I'd like to get one locally if I can so I don't have to order it. I want to try it out if I can and be able to (easily) take it back if it won't fit the lugnut well.

Problem is other than the snap-on one I can't find anything local in stock. And with the snap-on I still have to track down our local guy in order to get my hands on it.

None of the Sears stores in Billings have one?

Nope. There is only one Sears in Billings. And if you look at the link for the Sears item. It's a website only order. They don't carry thin walls in stock.

Once I learned who my local snap-on guy is, it became no problem to call his cell during the day, meet him at home to pick up a specialty tool.

I agree with the comments on impact tools vs. regular hand tools. The hand tools are usually thinner. Generally speaking, snap on sockets are thinner walls than Craftsman.

That said, most of my tools are Craftsman. Snap-on only when Sears doesn't make it, or I'm looking for a special tool.
