Default Nology Silver Plugs

Ok i was looking on nology's website the other day and saw there silver core spark plugs. It says the silver makes a better spark than copper and gold cores. I was wondering if anyone knew if this way a bunch of hype from nology or if these were the real deal
Here is the website..... http://www.nology.com/silver.html

Well, I don't know about silver being better than gold as gold is one of the better conductors & does not corrode however, I would say it would be better than copper. I would also have to say that it is not pure silver, nor are gold plugs pure gold as neither of these would hold up to the temps they would be exposed to.

I think there is 0 HP to be found there and definitly potential problems since this isn't a plug that is typically used in mustangs. NGK plugs are excellent and work great. Inginition isn't really an HP limiting factor right now. You're best and safest bet is to go with some good copper plugs. I have NGK V-power plugs in my car and they work great.

Well i wasnt really thinking power as much as efficiency. I was just thinkin these plugs might give better gas milage or least longer between changing them or something. I knew that the nology were more for sport compact but i just wasnt sure but u would go with NKG Iridium for a mustang? or NKG Platinum?

I agree with Fallstar01...look elsewhere for performance or mpg increases. If your plugs aren't worn out and you aren't misfiring you won't gain anything. Look at underdrives for both perf and economy. Sounds hard to believe but I am seeing 1.5 to 2 mpg increase with my underdrives...not something I expected.
