07 mustang motor/trans into a 97 V6 mustang ???

ok i got a 97 V6 mustang and i have a 07 4.6 motor/trans to go in it what will i need to do this swap

I think you are a first to try this swap. I would check with the 4.6 guys in the 4.6L General Discussion section. I find they have more answers about the 4.6 motor then in this section.

p.s. it might be a lot more work then you are expecting. like the dash gauges will all have to be replace because our 97's use speedo gear for the speed where the new mustangs are all done electrically. also you might need the whole wiring harness and computer for the 07' motor at that! I'm also guessing you will need a custom made drive shaft and maybe even motor mounts and tranny mounts might need to be replaced too.

I have never done it though so I am just guessing. I personally just built my 4.6 up with all new parts and now I am running more HP then the new mustangs anyways.
