have an 5.0 lx with an aod and 140k. the car moves really good ( have minor boltons)but the problem is that the tires brake lose easily but then stops too soon and then about 20-30 mph the back end starts shakin and fightin for traction. its cool to hook up pretty good but id like to get those tires spinnin across an intersection sometimes. is this normal?

 

It almost sounds like you have some transmission problems. The shaking you are feeling could be a transmission shudder when a band applies. I would take it to a reputable shop and have it looked at.

 

could it just be wheel hop?
